Cristalle Bowen

Psalm One is an  artist who represents the spirit of our Milwaukee Digital Marketing community. Cristalle Bowen, better known as Psalm One, is a Chicago native who's been a staple in the hip-hop scene. She dropped her first album, "Bio:Chemistry," while still in college.

Psalm One is deeply committed to education and community engagement. In 2011, she collaborated with students at Milwaukee's Riley Elementary School through the ASCAP Songwriter Residency, creating the track "Baby, I'm From Milwaukee." Her mission aligns perfectly with MKE DMC’s own values of education, inclusivity and local impact.

In 2022, she released her memoir, "Her Word is Bond: Navigating Hip Hop and Relationships in a Culture of Misogyny," an insightful look into her experiences in the industry. That same year, she dropped her tenth studio album, "Bigg Perrm".
